Position Type: Full-Time, 8 hour shifts (40 hours/week)



Compensation: $114,000 - $135,200 / year

Position Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Crescent City, CA. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to execute individualized treatment plans, helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Schedule & Availability

• Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts).
• Flexibility: Facility operational hours are 7:30 AM - 7:00 PM.
• Shift Options: Standard Monday through Friday schedule, with optional weekend shift structures available (must work 5 days per week).

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Implement and execute established treatment plans under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist.
• Communication: Maintain active communication with physical therapists, patients, families, referring physicians, and interdisciplinary team members regarding treatment progress and patient responses.
• Documentation & Billing: Complete accurate, timely documentation to fulfill licensing, regulatory, insurance, and reimbursement standards; accurately prepare and submit patient charge data.
• Clinical Safety & Judgment: Exercise sound professional judgment at all times to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and self, adhering strictly to facility safety protocols.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate treatment goals across departments and provide constructive guidance to Rehab Techs and Aides.
• Professional Development: Stay current on clinical best practices, maintain active state licensure, and attend required staff meetings and in-service training.
• Other Duties: Perform additional clinical and operational tasks as assigned by the Director of Rehab or executive leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements


Required:

• Licensure: Active California PTA License (or proof of pending CA licensure with a confirmed issue date).
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Net Health / Optima EMR software.
• Clinical Experience: Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.

Preferred:

• Knowledge or experience with PointClickCare software.
