Certified Payroll & Accounting Coordinator

Certified Payroll experience is required for this position. An established company in the Shoreline area is seeking an experienced Certified Payroll & Accounting Coordinator with hands-on Certified Payroll experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

This is a varied role combining Certified Payroll, Accounts Payable, Purchase Orders, and administrative support. The right person will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, staying calm under pressure, and jumping in to help wherever needed.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and process Certified Payroll and related reporting
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
• Handle Accounts Payable responsibilities
• Prepare, process, and maintain Purchase Orders
• Review account balances and transactions for accuracy
• Apply a strong understanding of assets, liabilities, debits, and credits
• Understand whether an account should have a debit or credit balance
• Assist with administrative and general office responsibilities
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with projects and other responsibilities as needed
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on Certified Payroll experience is required
• Experience preparing and submitting Certified Payroll reports
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Must understand assets, liabilities, account balances, debits, and credits
• Accounts Payable experience
• Purchase Order experience
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
• Able to remain calm, focused, and professional under pressure
• Open-minded and willing to learn
• Flexible team player who is willing to jump in and help wherever needed
• Strong communication skills and follow-through

The Details

• Pay : Up to $25/hour, depending on experience
• Benefits: We offer benefits to employees on qualifying long-term assignments: Health, Dental, Vision insurance, Paid Time Off, MyCTSavings Retirement Savings Plan, AAA Membership. Additional benefits and eligibility may vary by assignment.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Location: Shoreline area
• Position: Contract with potential for permanent hire
• Dress : Business casual
