Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor The Production Supervisor oversees multiple manufacturing lines in a plant environment, leading a team of approximately 20 employees while balancing hands-on floor support with office-based planning and reporting. This role ensures production goals and key performance indicators are met, maintains standards, and supports a smooth transition between shifts. Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of around 20 employees across three production lines. Spend approximately 70% of time on the production floor providing hands-on support and guidance to the team. Spend approximately 30% of time in the office reviewing production reports and preparing for the next shift. Delegate tasks effectively to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met. Work alongside team members on the line when necessary to support operations and resolve issues. Write and maintain accurate production reports and documentation. Hold the team accountable to established standards and performance expectations. Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, quality, and safety. Participate in hiring activities to build and maintain a strong production team. Carry out disciplinary actions when necessary in alignment with company policies. Use computer systems and Microsoft Office tools to track performance, prepare reports, and communicate with stakeholders. Support a safe manufacturing environment and promote adherence to operational procedures and guidelines. Essential Skills At least 1 year of leadership experience, which can be gained in any environment. Proven experience supervising or leading a team. Production supervision experience in a manufacturing or similar setting. Strong supervision and leadership skills, including team motivation and performance management. Basic to intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to delegate tasks and manage multiple production lines simultaneously. Capability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment while balancing administrative responsibilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous manufacturing experience. Familiarity with LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safety practices in a manufacturing environment. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing plant on second shift, offering a structured schedule and the opportunity to train on day shift for a period of time before transitioning. The standard second shift hours are Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with an expected workweek of approximately 4445 hours. The environment is production-focused, requiring time both on the floor and in the office, and involves regular use of computer systems and Microsoft Office to manage reporting and planning. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Trail Creek, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
