Medical Assistant, Senior - Endocrinology Associates

UPMC is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant, Senior to support the Endocrinology Associates Outpatient team/office in Lemoyne.

*This team/office is a large, expansive department that provides an open, learning environment as well as provides a supportive/mentoring staff and leadership.
Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm. No weekends or holidays!
Up to 25% travel may be required to assist other local teams/offices. *This position offers a $1,500.00 sign-on bonus with 1-year work commitment!
Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance.
Prepare and clean patient, exam, and procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control.
Manage inventory of supplies; Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
Comply with all UPMC Health System policies and procedures.
Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs.
Perform clinic procedures according to policy and procedure.
Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.
Other front office responsibilities, as required.
Under the direction and supervision of a physician, administer injectable medication and vaccines when appropriate.
Medical Assistant Senior:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT)
OR at least 1 year of patient care experience required.
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities. xywuqvp
Prior Ob/Gyn experience preferred.
