Job Description
The Restaurant Line Cook plays a vital role in a dynamic kitchen environment, focusing on food preparation, cooking, and plating with high standards. Working within a medium to large kitchen team, the line cook directly supports the Head Chef and Manager on duty by maintaining sanitation and fulfilling orders efficiently. The position often involves specializing in specific stations or rotating among multiple stations while assisting with general cooking and prep tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Plate dishes attractively and in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas
- Fulfill food orders accurately and quickly
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members
- Focus on a specific cooking station or rotate among multiple stations
- Assist in food preparation and general cooking tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in restaurant cooking
