Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU and Emergency Room License: Current Licensure to practice in Client Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS TNCC Moderate Sedation NIHSS Must-Have: Recent critical care experience Description: The registered nurse will use the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care. They will collect data relevant to the patient's condition and report critical values to physicians in a timely manner. The role involves assessing appropriate lab and diagnostic data. Documentation of findings from physical assessments is required, with the ability to identify abnormal findings. Development of a plan of care based on patient needs is essential. Nurses are expected to advocate on behalf of patients and their families. Interventions should be performed according to patient needs and hospital policy. Evaluation of patient outcomes in relation to goals is necessary. Adherence to all safety guidelines and exercising caution when interacting with patients is required. Demonstrating a professional demeanor in interactions with patients, families, peers, and staff is essential. Maintaining open communication with nursing management is expected. Floating to various units may be required. Participation in other duties as deemed appropriate by management is also part of the role.
