Junior Software Engineer

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee‑owned company supporting Department of Defense AISR training tools, is searching for an experienced software engineer to join our development team. The role requires autonomous work, strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with customers to design, develop, test and integrate features into our ISR Ground Procedural Trainer (GPT) and ISR Operator Procedural Trainer (OPT). Flexibility is essential to support tasks including C#/Java/C++/C development, hardware/software integration, flight simulator integration, VoIP communications, GEOINT and SIGINT sensor emulator development, touchscreen interfaces, 3D visualization, VR integration and training. CONUS travel of up to 20% may be required. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and integrate capabilities into ISR Trainer systems; collaborate with customers to define requirements; troubleshoot both software and hardware issues; work across multiple platforms and technologies to deliver high‑quality solutions. Required Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer. US citizenship with eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Experience with multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, C or C++. Proficiency in Visual Studio. Familiarity with Git or similar version‑control systems. Strong troubleshooting skills in both software and hardware environments. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret critical information. Desired Qualifications Experience with agile software development methodologies. Object‑oriented design and development expertise. Understanding of software architectural design patterns such as MVVM. Knowledge of Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) and GUI development using XAML. Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo.
