The Warehouse Sanitation team is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the warehouse environment. This role involves routine cleaning of warehouse floors, shelves, restrooms, equipment, and other designated areas to ensure a safe, organized, and sanitary workspace. Workers in this team must follow health and safety protocols, manage cleaning supplies, and use equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers. Attention to detail, the ability to follow cleaning schedules, and adherence to safety regulations are critical in this role to prevent accidents, contamination, and promote overall operational efficiency. Schedule: Sunday- Thursday 11:00PM- 7:30AM

Pay: $19.25/hr + $1.25 Shift Differential

Job Responsibilities:

• Respond to spill and damage calls throughout the facility
• Sweep and vacuum dock plates and sanitation barriers.
• Keep all areas free of debris such as wood fragments, pallet wrap, labels, and paper
• Discard leaking product and record on log
• Assist in special maintenance projects.

Job Requirements:

• Understanding of safety guidelines
• Warehouse/Operations preferred but not required.
• Ability to select at an established minimum rate for department.
• Understand and properly follow all selecting procedures and verbal instructions in your respective area: grocery, repack, cooler/freezer.
• Possess an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

• This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a distribution center or office.

Physical Environment/Demands:

Warehouse Roles:

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation.

Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.

Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.

Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work-related equipment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
