Job Summary The job of a retail sales associate is to sell flooring products and services to customers in the store, service existing customer accounts, and ensure a desired level of profitability on each sale. The associate plays an important role in the productivity and profitability of the store and reports directly to the sales manager. Responsibilities Communicate effectively by listening, speaking, and responding in an appropriate manner. Commit to actions that best serve the customers and the business, reaching and exceeding customer expectations. Work cooperatively and effectively with others, supporting the success of the team with a positive attitude. Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior in all actions. Use critical thinking to anticipate, plan, organize, and solve problems logically and systematically. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Mathematical Skills: Understand and effectively communicate numerical data, calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, and percentages. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new programs. Behavioral Skills: Planning, organization, and communication skills; manage emotions to maintain relationships and generate results; work effectively in teams while motivating others; maintain a high level of energy and a positive attitude.
