Field Service Technician II

About the Role Spotting a solution and fixing a problem is a tremendous technical skill set. It requires diligence, determination, and a knack for knowledge. This role provides basic technical expertise for Canon‑supported products, assisting customers with operational, maintenance, and networking support. Your Impact We’re actively seeking an individual to: Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures. Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications. Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups, including troubleshooting and diagnostics. Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field/shop/on‑site maintenance. Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned. Provide direction to less experienced technicians. Provide solutions for escalated technical and customer service-related problem areas for any territory requested. About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring This is a customer-facing role and requires compliance with customer policies and protocols, which may include COVID’19 vaccination and other measures relating to COVID’19. HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required) plus 1 to 2 years of related experience. Basic understanding of internet environments and ability to complete the 120” introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new—hire class. Ability to travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required). Capability to work in a 24/7 environment, including shift work and on—call rotations. Required to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter customers’ premises. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling). Salary range: $21.50–$30.75 hourly. Workstyle Description Full‐time on‐site position. Requires full‐time presence at assigned office, worksite, or territory on scheduled work days.
