Job Summary Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) — Location unspecified. This healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized respiratory care for pediatric patients. The role involves monitoring and managing ventilators, performing arterial blood gas draws, and assisting with airway management in a fast-paced clinical environment. Job Details Position Description: The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by physicians, with an emphasis on pediatric care. The role includes monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, patient assessment, and understanding hemodynamic monitoring and blood work results. The therapist will perform effective airway management, assist in intubation, and provide patient education and training. Required Qualifications: Must be a graduate of a COARC approved Respiratory Care Program with the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential according to guidelines set forth by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Must have at least one year of respiratory experience in a hospital setting. Additional certifications include Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), which must be obtained within six months of hire. The candidate must be at least 16 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States, able to pass a background check and drug screen, and must complete the employee health meeting. Location requirements and specific scheduling details include day shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 10/12/2026 through 01/11/2027. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac diagnostics such as EKG, Holter monitoring, and stress testing is preferred. Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Information: Responsibilities include documentation of services, troubleshooting equipment, participating in in-service education, and ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols. The therapist will assist in onboarding and training new staff and students, and actively participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
