Payroll Clerk Needed PC60016

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Clerk to assist with payroll processing payment preparation recordkeeping and general accounting support. The ideal candidate should be organized accurate and comfortable handling confidential employee and financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with processing weekly biweekly or monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
Review employee hours time records deductions reimbursements and other payroll information.
Enter and maintain payroll data in company systems spreadsheets and databases.
Verify payroll information and resolve or report discrepancies.
Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records.
Process approved company payments and prepare checks or payment documents for mailing on behalf of the company.
Print checks prepare supporting documents envelopes and mailing labels as needed.
Verify payment amounts and recipient information before payments are mailed.
Maintain records of payments processed and mailed.
Organize and maintain confidential payroll and financial documents.
Assist with payroll-related questions and coordinate with HR accounting and management when necessary.
Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
12 years of payroll accounting bookkeeping or administrative experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Basic knowledge of payroll and payment processing procedures.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
