Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit

Location: Hudson, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with alternating weekends and on-call assignments.

Job Description: The Surgical Unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients during various surgical procedures including Trauma, General, Orthopedic, Neuro, and Vascular procedures. The RN will maintain compliance with AORN standards and ensure exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to policies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Monitor patients' conditions post-operatively and participate in discharge planning.
• Document all patient care activities in the Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a surgical or trauma unit.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Familiarity with various surgical procedures including robotic surgeries and craniotomies.
