Overview 2026-27 AY Lecturer Pool – Women\’s & Gender Studies. This pool is for part‑time lecturer appointments to teach courses in the Department of Women’s & Gender Studies (WGS). Courses may include: Intro to Gender & Sexuality; Intro to Disability Studies; Introduction to Women’s Studies; Introduction to the Women’s Movement in Contemporary Society; Asian American Women; Mother, Woman & Person; Women of the Middle East; Gender & Health; Gender, Race & Class; Women of Color; Women and Work; Violence Against Women; Feminism & the Spirit; Women in Art; Women’s Global Issues; Intro to Queer & Trans Studies; and LGBTQ Histories. Responsibilities Teach assigned courses with preparation, grading, and delivery appropriate to the course modality and student needs. Maintain regular office hours and communicate with students as required. Prepare course materials, assessments, and assignments; provide timely feedback to students. Fulfill duties as assigned by the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean; course assignments and schedule are subject to departmental needs and enrollment. Rank and Salary Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background as determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. As of the stated period, the salary ranges and pro‑ration for a semester are described in the original posting. Required Qualifications Minimum of Bachelor’s degree with successful advancement to candidacy in a Doctoral program in a related field.
