Business Development Rep Associate

Square is looking for high‑energy, motivated professionals with sound business insight and natural sales instincts. You will be joining our Restaurant or Generalist team to help build our Sales Development organization. You will lay the foundation of this sales effort through outbounding to prospective sellers and promoting the value of Square for their business, becoming an expert in the products and services that enable merchants to grow with the Square ecosystem. Using a data‑driven approach to outbound sales, you will prospect, email, and call at scale to identify qualified opportunities and pass them onto the Account Executive team. This position is the starting point to many growth opportunities within the Square team and offers a clear path to promotion and increased on‑target earnings through skill development and mentorship. Responsibilities Manage a diverse pipeline of businesses and prioritize outreach to accelerate sales cycles. Reach out to businesses in your pipeline at scale through cold calling, emailing, and social selling. Promote urgency through a solutions‑based sales approach, identifying challenges and providing targeted value around how Square can help. Consistently attain and exceed monthly quotas. Qualifications Residence within 50 miles of the posted office location. A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. Personal leadership, authenticity, team player attitude, energy, and curiosity. Enthusiasm for developing sales skills through cold calling.
