Cardiac/Stroke Clinical Nurse Part Time Nights

Overview Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102‑bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including the Siteman Cancer Center, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center, and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center. The hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Level II stroke certification and offers a variety of specialist offices and outpatient services. Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on how to manage illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other team members and the patient, family or caregiver, following established standards. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotions, spirituality, culture, and population‑specific needs. Works with constant alertness and ensures safe performance of all duties. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing diploma or associate’s degree in nursing. Experience: No prior experience required. Supervisor experience: No experience required. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
