Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Location: New York, NY
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Schedule: 3 Shifts per Week | 12-Hour Shifts
Duration: 14 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery to provide exceptional maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced acute care environment in New York, New York.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise in Labor & Delivery nursing, maternal-child care, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation while delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor and delivery
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond to patient status changes
• Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and medication administration
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation as required
• Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
• Active New York State RN License required
• NYSED Verification required
• AHA BLS Certification required
• AHA ACLS Certification required
• NRP Certification required
• Minimum two years of Maternal & Child nursing experience required
• Minimum two years of IV Insertion and Phlebotomy experience required
• Minimum two years of Conscious Sedation experience required
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
