Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients in a Medical/Surgical setting
• Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to effectively manage clinical situations; will float to all Med/Surg departments as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license
• BLS Certification via American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing specialty
• Ability to meet weekend requirement: 2–4 shifts per month (rotated among staff)
• Ability to meet on-call requirement: 2–4 shifts per month (rotated among staff)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical/Surgical setting
