APRN Cardiologist

Boone Hospital Center, a 392-bed full service hospital in Columbia, Missouri is seeking an APRN Cardiologist. This role functions as an integral member of the inpatient cardiology team, providing comprehensive care to hospitalized patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations on cardiology inpatients.
• Evaluate and manage patients with conditions including but not limited to:
• Acute coronary syndromes
• Decompensated heart failure
• Arrhythmias and electrophysiologic disorders
• Valvular heart disease
• Pericardial disease
• Hypertensive emergencies
• Develop and implement evidence-based management plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies (labs, ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac imaging).
• Initiate and titrate cardiovascular medications.
• Perform daily rounds and document progress notes.
• Provide discharge planning, medication reconciliation, and follow-up coordination.

• Degree: minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is preferred
