Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for a hospital laboratory in Southfield, Michigan. The position operates on a rotating night shift schedule and involves performing routine and complex laboratory testing procedures, managing instrumentation, and ensuring quality control in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established quality standards
• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures following departmental protocols
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• One or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
• One or more years of Blood Bank experience (preferred)
