Phlebotomist

Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives. Position: Phlebotomist, Onley, VA. Work Schedule: Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm (hours may vary), rotating Saturday shifts. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Assist with administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program, or six months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience). Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all aforementioned benefits except PTO or FTO. PSTs may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
