Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant/Accounting Specialist to join our team and contribute significantly to our financial operations. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing company accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
- Record asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Document financial transactions and assign entries to the appropriate accounts.
- Support and prepare Financial Statements promptly.
- Develop reports that assist the board in decision-making.
- Serve internal and external customers effectively.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenue, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or provide advice.
- Monitor and analyze Budget Balance.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Develop and review financial reconciliations for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Taxes.
- Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls.
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns while ensuring compliance with payments and other tax regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor and/or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or combination of schooling and on-the-job experience.
- 0-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures per GAAP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to speak Korean is a plus but not required.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office setting, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
