Description: Shift days are variable. Travelers work Monday through Friday and weekends according to staffing needs. Shift hours are 7 AM to 7 PM for AM shift and 7 PM to 7 AM for PM shift. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census averages 69 patients with a total of 75 beds available. Patient ratios are 4 patients per nurse for day, night, and weekend shifts. Facility supports interdisciplinary teams including IV, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services. Patient diagnoses include general medical-surgical cases. Required skills include managing and accessing ports, biPAP and CPAP management, and cardiac telemetry. Nurses should be equipped to handle care for ventilated patients and manage central lines. Knowledge in the interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases is essential. Experience with telemetry monitoring, both on-site and remote, is required. Travel experience is necessary for applicants. References from two supervisory contacts are mandatory during the application process. Certified CPI blue card is required for all nurses applying for this position. No Nursys or background hits will be accepted. All required certifications must be in hand when applying.
