CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Radiology – CT/Xray (Computed Tomography)
Unit Notes: Full time day shift XR/CT Tech including OR which consists of some orthopedic cases and fluoro for cholangiograms, central line placement and minor things like that.
General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements ARRT, Radiography and Computed Tomography, Oregon Medical Imaging license.
How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 1. Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Potentially Surgery to run C-arm for Chole or Ortho case.
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties XR and CT and C-Arm if needed.
Average # of scans/studies per day 10-15 CT and 10-20 XR during Swing Shift, 15-20 CT and 10-20 XR Day Shift.
EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use Merge PACS, Meditech EMR.
Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) Client Xray, Toshiba CT, Carestream Portables.
Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech Jamie Bealer, Manager. Melissa Pederson Supervisor.
Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No. Radiologist in-house? Only until 1700.
Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) No.
Shifts & Scheduling Depends on need. Ex: 1800-0630 Fri-Sun, 0600-1630 Mon-Thurs Weekend Requirement no Holiday Requirement no Call or Standby requirement? Response time? No call Required.
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Black. Scrubs are not provided.
