Information Technology Specialist

DutiesThe following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.Designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains secure and scalable applications using modern engineering practices across one or more delivery domains. Analyzes and refactors codebases to derive undocumented requirements, modernize architecture, and aligns systems with current frameworks, accessibility and security standards.Delivers cross-layer functionality, spanning user interfaces, Application Programming Interface (API) services, backend workflows, and cloud-based infrastructure.Conducts performance testing and recommend architectural or infrastructure improvements based on system profiling and metrics.Serves as a technical lead for large-scale or cross-product initiatives, independently resolving technical ambiguity and setting implementation direction.Collaborates with one or more delivery teams with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align on requirements, triage issues, validate implementation plans, and ensures technical cohesion and consistent standards across the enterprise.
