As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver Patrol Response in Orlando, FL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.09 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities within a correctional facility environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate facility personnel and follow established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, access points, parking areas, and other designated locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, movement, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific policies and correctional facility protocols.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and authorized site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
