Castro County Nursing & Rehab is seeking a compassionate and skilled Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA looking for flexible scheduling while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide quality physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents’ strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, transfers, gait training, and functional activities.
- Monitor and document resident progress and response to treatment.
- Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license .
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
- Skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred.
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
