Job Description
About Wire Products Supply Wire Products Supply, located in Sherman, Texas, is a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of quality wire products. We pride ourselves on operational excellence, high safety standards, and a supportive environment for our production teams. We are looking for a highly skilled mechanic to anchor our critical second shift operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, set up, and adjust industrial wire-forming machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical problems.
- Replace and repair bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, sensors, motors, and other machine components.
- Make machine and tooling adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Perform machine changeovers and assist operators with equipment issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed.
- Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials, equipment, parts, and finished products.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Industrial maintenance or manufacturing equipment experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical controls, motors, sensors, and VFDs is preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience preferred; training may be provided.
- Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Ability to work independently and solve equipment problems.
- Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work around industrial production equipment.
