Personal Lines- Account Manager I Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e. bonus, incentives, and/or commission). Responsible for supervising Customer Service and Administrative aspects of accounts assigned to key producer(s). May directly manage other team members including CSRs or assistants. Responsible for retaining renewals, marketing new business and overseeing customer accounts. Represents First Mid Insurance Group and acts as an advocate for customers, partnering with our insurance companies and working as a team to meet the client's needs. Delivers outstanding customer service at all times, including proactively anticipating customer needs, maintain frequent and professional customer communication and responding quickly to service requests. Maintains policy expiration list to insure timely renewal and delivery of policies. Monitors accounts receivable balances on assigned accounts. Complete required training associated with job function. Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and two years' experience in insurance preferred or a minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance. First Mid will facilitate training and testing for additional licensure as needed. Prior work with Excel, Word, and related software is required. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and thoroughness, with special emphasis on meeting deadlines. Ability to empathize with customers and to respond appropriately. May be required to work earlier or later than the normal workday and may be required to work outside of the office to facilitate extended hours or customer visits.
