Traveling Mechanical Laborer

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Traveling Mechanical Laborer to join our team for the installation, repair, and modification of conveyor systems, including overhead, floor, roller, I-beam, and belt conveyors. This role requires extensive travel to job sites and hands-on mechanical labor. Responsibilities: Install, modify, and repair conveyor systems on-site. Operate construction vehicles and use power tools for assembly and installation. Read tape measures accurately and work with various hand and power tools. Haul materials and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Travel extensively to job sites, working three weeks on-site with a 3-4 day home rotation. Perform shop work when not in the field. Job Details: Crews travel together using company vehicles (personal vehicle use is optional but not reimbursed for fuel). Company covers hotel/lodging (2 crew members per room). $35.00 per day per diem, paid biweekly. 10-hour workdays, 60 hours per week during installation projects. Payroll is processed weekly (every Thursday). Healthcare and vision benefits available 90 day probation period. Pay: $17.00/hour (Shop) | $19.00/hour (Field) – with advancement opportunities after 6+ months. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical measurements.
