Summary
We are seeking a Part-Time driver/warehouse assistant to join our receiving team. This role will perform all functions withing the department.
Requires weekday availability (ideally M - W- Th from 8am - 4pm) and weekends in November and December. Employee ownership share allocated after 1 year of employment.
Deliver & Pick Up Transfers/Orders
Drive merchandise to other store locations, unloading and reloading with transfer
Deliver customer furniture orders according to company guidelines
Occasionally pick up supplies/orders from local stores
Communicate any problems to the Receiving Manager immediately
Assist Receiving Merchandise
Assist in carrying and organizing daily shipments to the receiving area
Unpack, organize, and divide product according to specifications
Offload shipping containers, delivery vehicles
Maintain a clean and organized receiving area
Warehouse
Assist in pulling min/max quantities
Assist in efficiently organizing and categorizing backstock to prevent damages
Stay familiar with where items are located in warehouse
Prepare Store Transfers
Prepare merchandise to be transferred to other store locations
Package transfer merchandise to minimize damages
Lead team in loading merchandise in transfer vehicle
Deliver & Pick Up Transfers/Orders
Drive merchandise to other store locations, unloading and reloading with transfer
Deliver customer furniture orders according to company guidelines
Occasionally pick up supplies/orders from local stores
Communicate any problems to the Receiving Manager immediately
Price Merchandise
Price merchandise, according to store guidelines/sample
Report damages/defects
Misc.
Follow all safety policies and security procedures
Assist at the stores as needed with backstocking, transfer assistance, inventory etc.
Assist in special projects, maintenance, clean-up and reorganization as needed
React quickly to fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment
Requirements : Attention to detail and ability to move up to 40 pounds, ability to stand for extended periods of time, bending/lifting/carrying. Offers contingent on clean accident and driving records
