Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

A respected hospital in Fort Myers is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a dedicated maternity care team. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about supporting patients throughout the childbirth journey and delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Position Overview The Labor & Delivery RN is responsible for providing compassionate, patient-centered care throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role involves closely monitoring both maternal and fetal well-being, assisting during the birthing process, and working collaboratively with physicians and the broader obstetric team to promote positive outcomes for patients and newborns. Key Responsibilities• Deliver comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond appropriately to clinical changes.
• Support patients and families with education, guidance, and emotional care throughout the childbirth experience.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and patient-focused environment. Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Recent Labor & Delivery experience within the past 2 years required.
• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills. Benefits
