Work Schedule: 12-month Salary Classification: Support Staff Salary Schedule - Group B $15.89

General Statement Of Responsibilities: To provide safe and aesthetically pleasing landscaping, playing fields, athletic fields, parking and walkway areas.

Essential Functions:

• Installs and repairs irrigation systems
• Mows and trims grass
• Cares for all grass, trees, plants and flowers
• Repairs and maintains grounds equipment
• Conducts safety inspections of playground equipment, repairs as needed
• Removes debris from drives, parking lots, sidewalks and other areas as required
• Removes grounds trash and litter
• Prepares athletic fields for events
• Maintains swimming pool, including water chemistry
• Performs minor maintenance duties as assigned
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications Required:

Education, Training & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• One year of experience preferred
• Ability to communicate and work well with staff
• Possession of a valid Arizona driver's license

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 75 lbs without assistance

Evaluation Procedure: In accordance with provisions specified in Governing Board policy.

Supervision Received: Reports to the Director of Facilities

Supervisory Responsibility: None.
