Contracts Management Specialist

Contract Administrator This position administers contracts for the organization. This position participates in the development and implementation of contract management tools and processes to assist in achieving the organization's contracting objectives and strategies. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Core functions include conducting initial reviews of proposed contract language, revising contracts to ensure compliance with company policy/guidelines and legal requirements, negotiating and resolving contract issues, drafting and reviewing contracts, serving as a resource for contract interpretation, participating in contract monitoring and support tools, and maintaining contract and correspondence file systems. Minimum qualifications include experience consistent with a bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or related field, three years' experience in contract management/negotiation, demonstrated skill in problem analysis and resolution, strong oral and written communication, and the ability to function independently with multiple projects. Preferred qualifications include a paralegal certificate or equivalent, knowledge/experience with HIPAA, and additional related experience and/or education.
