zTrip , one of the nation's largest transportation providers, is seeking an experienced and people-focused CDL Shuttle Driver Manager to lead the recruitment, training, scheduling, performance, and retention of our CDL shuttle driver team.

This leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient shuttle transportation services while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and driver success. Position Summary

As a CDL Shuttle Driver Manager , you will oversee the daily management and performance of our shuttle driver workforce while ensuring operational goals, staffing needs, and service standards are consistently achieved. Working closely with dispatch, safety, maintenance, recruiting, and leadership teams, you will help create an environment where drivers can succeed and operations run efficiently.

Success in this role will be measured through driver retention, on-time service performance, staffing effectiveness, safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and team development.

What You'll Do as a CDL Shuttle Driver Manager:Driver Recruitment & Workforce Development

• Lead efforts to attract and hire qualified CDL shuttle drivers through recruiting events, referrals, job fairs, and community outreach.
• Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and make hiring recommendations.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified driver candidates.
• Promote zTrip as an employer of choice within the transportation industry.
• Develop staffing strategies to support current operations and future growth.
• Partner with recruiting teams to ensure workforce objectives are met.

Driver Onboarding & Training

• Oversee onboarding and orientation for newly hired shuttle drivers.
• Coordinate CDL verification, credential reviews, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure drivers successfully complete training and company certification programs.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for new drivers during their transition into operations.
• Support ongoing development, refresher training, and professional growth opportunities.

Shuttle Operations & Scheduling

• Manage daily shuttle driver schedules to maintain reliable and efficient service.
• Coordinate route assignments, shift coverage, schedule adjustments, and time-off requests.
• Monitor staffing levels and proactively address coverage gaps.
• Work closely with dispatch teams to maximize operational efficiency and service reliability.
• Identify and resolve scheduling challenges while minimizing service disruptions.
• Assist in planning for special events, peak service periods, and operational changes.

Driver Leadership & Engagement

• Build positive working relationships with drivers through consistent communication and support.
• Provide coaching and mentorship focused on safety, attendance, professionalism, and customer service.
• Promote a positive work environment that encourages engagement and accountability.
• Recognize outstanding performance and celebrate driver achievements.
• Address employee concerns promptly and professionally.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.

Performance Management

• Monitor key operational metrics and driver performance indicators.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and ride-alongs as needed.
• Provide constructive feedback and implement improvement plans when necessary.
• Maintain documentation related to performance, coaching, attendance, and development.
• Support initiatives that improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Safety & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and shuttle operating procedures.
• Partner with safety and compliance teams to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor driver certifications, qualifications, and training requirements.
• Reinforce safe driving habits, passenger safety standards, and operational best practices.
• Promote a culture where safety remains the highest priority.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with dispatch, operations, maintenance, safety, and recruiting teams.
• Participate in workforce planning, staffing forecasts, and operational meetings.
• Support process-improvement initiatives and operational growth strategies.
• Help achieve company goals related to service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.

Qualifications for a CDL Shuttle Driver Manager:Required

• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation, shuttle operations, fleet management, logistics, workforce management, or a related field.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience supervising, coaching, or developing employees.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with scheduling software, workforce planning tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

• CDL Class B or higher.
• Experience managing shuttle, transit, passenger transportation, or fleet operations.
• Experience recruiting and hiring CDL drivers.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance standards.
• Experience with route planning, staffing management, and workforce utilization.
• Previous leadership experience within transportation or passenger services.
