About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Retail Representative who shares our passion for providing quality products and an excellent customer care experience. The Retail Representative works closely and collaboratively with store leadership and reports to the General Manager. This role is responsible for providing customers with exceptional service by meeting individual needs, exceeding expectations, and demonstrating excellent knowledge of the cannabis products, deals, and promotions we offer.Successful candidates will complete mandatory training through JARS University - conducted both virtually and in-person at our mock-store training facility - ensuring staff are well-educated on JARS' policies, procedures, and company culture.Job Duties Assess the needs of each customer, provide appropriate product knowledge, and conduct each transaction with accuracy and efficiencyUtilize suggestive selling strategies and actively upsell customers on products and promotionsAccept constructive criticism and coaching from upper managementAssist with inventory tasks when neededWork scheduled shifts and follow the company's attendance policyFollow all safety and CRA rules and policiesPromote the perks of being a JARS customer, including the Loyalty Program, referrals, and moreRecord transactions accurately in the POS system, use appropriate login credentials, and ensure the accuracy of the assigned cash drawerPerform opening and closing duties as neededEscalate customer issues to upper management when appropriateMaintain a positive, caring attitude and treat customers and co-workers with respectMaintain neatness, cleanliness, and organization of the sales floorFill in when short-staffed and remain willing to be cross-trainedFollow and integrate JARS company policies and procedures in all on-the-job interactions, tasks, and behaviorsListen and respond to customer and coworker needs and requests in a timely and appropriate mannerOther duties as assigned by management. RequirementsMust be 21 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 2 years of customer service experience in a retail, sales, and/or hospitality environmentAcquired knowledge of cannabis strains and applicationsCannabis industry and/or health industry experience highly desirableExceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsBasic math skills requiredWork Atmosphere/Physical DemandsRequires prolonged standing and some bending, stooping, and stretchingRequires stocking, labeling, cleaning, organizingAbility to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipmentMoving up to 30 pounds on occasionWork will generally be performed in a fast-paced retail cannabis dispensaryInvolves frequent contact with patients and staffWill require working varied hours/day, including nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasionJob Types: Full-time, Part-time Schedule:10-hour shift8-hour shiftHolidaysMonday to FridayWeekend availability requiredWhy JARS Cannabis? At JARS Cannabis, we pride ourselves on being more than just a retailer – we are a community.
