As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures. Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and coordinating with emergency responders when needed. Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrol observations, incidents, access activity, and other security‑related concerns. Minimum Requirements: Have at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
