By doing so, they will be unleashing the power of information to drive faster decision making, improved agility, strong security policies, and an increased ability to both exploit the opportunities and control the risks of enterprise information.Your impact:The Global Sourcing and Contract Management team helps maximize value from OpenText’s vendor relationships and ensures our business unit stakeholders have the goods and services they need to succeed.You will act as a Sourcing Manager and deliver projects in all aspects of the sourcing process, from category assessment, cost savings opportunities, vendor due diligence, RFx process, contract negotiations, and supporting vendor management. Categories in scope will include but are not limited to Marketing + Events (Consulting, Finance, IT, and Outsourced services). You will act as a change agent as part of our broader Sourcing & Procurement transformation initiatives and collaborate closely with various business partners and internal (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Events, Finance, Legal) and external (e.g., suppliers, vendors, hotels, and other organizations) stakeholders to deliver a seamless procurement experience. Key accountabilities include developing sourcing strategies and programs aligning with strategic objectives; enhancing supplier relationships; ensuring commitments are fulfilled to meet internal client’s needs; presenting recommendations and collaborating with senior management and business unit leads.What the role offers:Build and strengthen stakeholder relationships to align sourcing strategies with business needsDevelop and execute category plans to reduce costs and improve supplier performanceLead RFx processes and cross-functional sourcing initiativesManage supplier selection using data-driven insights and analyticsLead commercial negotiations to achieve optimal outcomesOptimize supplier performance, ensuring contract compliance and cost efficiencySupport financial planning, budgeting, and sourcing activity forecastingDrive continuous improvement and identify industry trends to enhance procurement strategyWhat you need to succeed:Leverage AI and analytics to enhance sourcing, reduce costs, and manage risk High degree of business ethics and accountabilityCategory Management and Sourcing experience, including deep understanding of Strategic Sourcing best practices.Strong understanding of marketing procurement categories, including:Strong knowledge of creative, advertising, and digital marketing servicesExperience with media planning, buying, and sponsorship initiativesExpertise in event management, production, and experiential marketingFamiliarity with promotional merchandise, print, and branded materialsUnderstanding of travel and hospitality procurement within marketing categoriesCommunicate effectively and influence stakeholders across all levelsPrioritize and deliver in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsLead complex negotiations with confidence and strong decision-makingDrive cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement initiativesAcademic/Experience:5+ years in Strategic Sourcing & Category Management; program/project experience required3+ years managing marketing, media, agency, or events procurement categoriesBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain; certification an assetStrong knowledge of business processes, controls, and continuous improvementGlobal mindset; international experience preferredOne last thing:OpenText is more than just a corporation, it's a global community where trust is foundational, the bar is raised, and outcomes are owned.
