We are seeking a Regional Segment Development Manager – Public Transit. As a Segment Development Manager, you'll drive strategic growth across the Northern Region (UK, Ireland, Nordic countries...) as a trusted advisor to Europe's leading cities and bus operators, closing significant deals and accelerating the shift to sustainable, efficient mobility. Working alongside a diverse, high-performing team spanning Europe and North America, you'll own the relationship strategy that positions ABB E-mobility’s innovative technology at the heart of municipal and fleet operator decisions. You won't just respond to opportunities—you'll shape them. You'll be the strategist who ensures Europe's largest transportation networks choose ABB E-mobility as their partner for tomorrow. In This Role Your Main Accountabilities Will Be
- Secure Strategic Transit Deals – Identify and win large, high-value opportunities within the Nordics territory, driving ambitious Order, Revenue, and Margin targets
- Build Trusted Advisor Relationships – Develop deep C-level partnerships with municipal authorities and bus operators through consultative selling, positioning ABB E-mobility as their strategic partner
- Lead Ecosystem Engagement – Cultivate influence and visibility through local trade forums, industry associations, and strategic networks to establish market presence and credibility
- Win Competitive Tenders – Collaborate with engineering consultants and ecosystem partners to position ABB E-mobility’s portfolio favorably in RFQs and secure public procurement wins
- Amplify Reach Through Partnerships – Leverage ABB E-mobility's global and regional partnerships alongside channel partners to capture diverse market opportunities and expand territorial coverage
- Master's degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred with 15+ years of proven success in high-tech sales within international environments and a track record of closing multimillion-dollar deals
- Deep expertise in new business hunting within the Bus/Transit sector with knowledge of public transit market dynamics and municipal procurement processes
- Fluent in English (a second language, Swedish, Norwegian.. Is a plus) with strong business acumen and ability to understand and articulate complex technical offerings
- Ability to formulate compelling value propositions tailored to diverse stakeholder needs
- Strategic thinking with market intelligence capabilities who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
