Overview The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the ED delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role prioritizes direct patient care while actively contributing to divisional quality improvement initiatives and the enhancement of clinical outcomes. Additionally, the APP supports orientation efforts and provides education to patients, families, and team members to promote understanding and engagement in care. APP patient coverage requires regularly scheduled days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call obligations. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience Required: Enhanced knowledge of pediatric patient care principles, and ability to manage specialty patient care and emergencies by prioritizing patient care acuity and tasks, collaborating with entire care team critically, comprehensively both verbally and in writing. Preferred: APP experience in Pediatric Emergency Department. Education/Licensure/Certification Required: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university PA - Physician Assistant State License or NP - Nurse Practitioner License DEA - Drug Enforcement Administration American Health Association BLS - Basic Life Support & PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (NP) Required: Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Acute-Care OR DUAL Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Primary-care Family Nurse-Practitioner (Post-Master’s Pediatric Preferred) Pay Scale Information Pay range: $143,998.00 - $246,854.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
