Job Summary

The Assistant Manager, Marketing Finance serves as the finance business partner for Brand Marketing and Trade Marketing within the Home Appliance business. This role is responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, investment analysis, and performance management of brand marketing and trade marketing spend across product categories, channels, and key retail customers.

The position will provide strategic financial insights to optimize marketing investments, enhance marketing effectiveness, improve ROI, and support profitable growth. The Assistant Manager will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and senior leadership teams to drive data-driven decision-making and financial accountability.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Lead annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes for Brand Marketing and Trade Marketing investments.
• Develop and maintain monthly marketing spend forecasts by brand, category, campaign, customer, and channels.
• Monitor and track Brand and Trade marketing spending against financial targets weekly and monthly.
• Partner with the marketing, product and sales teams to evaluate retail trade marketing/promotions and co-op advertising funds.
• Vendor Selection & RFPs: Direct the financial vetting and request-for-proposal (RFP) processes for creative, media-buying, and digital marketing agencies.
• Evaluate vendor rate cards, fee structures, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to guarantee cost-efficiency and alignment with corporate finance standards.
• Partner with the brand marketing team to build quantitative scorecards assessing agency performance against key metrics like media reach, lead generation, and cost-per-acquisition.
• Audit agency media spend and invoice compliance to ensure zero variance between media plans/contracts and actual billing.
• Analyze historical vendor performance data to provide "renew or replace" recommendations ahead of annual contract expirations.
• Measure the return on investment for major marketing campaigns and product launches.
• Analyze retail pricing strategies, customer profitability, and market share trends.
• Build financial models to evaluate various marketing strategies and activities.
• Prepare variance reports and present financial insights to senior leadership.
• Other ad-hoc financial analyses for business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 3–5 years of financial analysis experience
• Strong skills in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly to non-finance teams
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Experience in consumer goods, retail, or the home appliance sector is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
