Position: Float Teller Location: Pittsfield, MA Job Id: 150 # of Openings: 1 JOB SUMMARY The Float Teller serves as the Bank’s main point of customer contact across multiple branch locations, performing a wide variety of customer service and operational tasks, including transactions for deposit accounts, loans and other services. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships through engagement and recommendation of products and services that support everyday financial needs. This position requires maintaining a working knowledge of established banking policies, procedures and regulations along with the ability to work in any branch location as needed. JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain working knowledge of all Bank products, including their benefits, requirements and related policies, procedures and regulations Perform an extensive variety of customer transactions in accordance with Bank policies, procedures and regulations Independently resolve routine customer inquiries while maintaining a high standard of customer service, and elevate issues to the appropriate team member or department when necessary Adhere to branch security practices and guidelines (secures workstation, keys, combinations, customer information, etc.) and regulatory compliance Accurately processes large amounts of cash in an organized, timely, and accurate manner. Balance own cash drawer daily within the prescribed balancing guidelines Recognize customer needs and refer appropriate bank products to support growth in our customer base Demonstrate strong customer service skills to promote a positive representation of the Bank in both in-person and telephone interactions Support fraud prevention by adhering to security procedures and educating customers as needed Support daily branch operations by ensuring accurate balancing and timely submission of work to the proper departments Ability to travel to any branch location that requires coverage including times the request may be made on short notice Provide back up and support to Head Teller tasks as needed Perform other duties as needed or assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS Possess a High School diploma or its equivalent Prior banking experience preferred Prior customer service and cash handling experience preferred Work collaboratively with a positive, professional attitude towards customers and coworkers General math skills: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to other Pittsfield Cooperative Bank locations as needed Ability to work Saturdays as scheduled PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. on occasion #J-18808-Ljbffr
