Retail Sales Associate

Urban Furniture Outlet is a retail furniture and mattress store with locations in New Castle and Dover, Delaware! We pride ourselves on offering a friendly no-hassle sales approach and a great shopping experience for our guests! We have been in the business for over 30 years and have won many local awards including Best Furniture Store (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019) and multiple family-owned business awards. We are seeking a retail sales associate to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue.

Responsibilities:

Welcome and identify customer needs
Explain products and services to customers
Monitor inventory to ensure the product is in stock
Enter and process customer orders
Investigate and resolve customer complaints

Qualifications:

Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to build rapport with customers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation skills

Compensation:

Base pay is hourly determined by experience. In addition to base hourly pay - sales associates earn commission and spiffs related to monthly performance goals!
