  Organizational Summary The Corner Health Center is Michigan's first, largest and most comprehensive adolescent and young adult health center. The Corner provides high quality, judgment-free, affordable health and wellness care and education to youth and young adults ages 12 through 25 (and their children). We are proud to have over 45 years of experience providing integrated primary care and behavioral health, along with a host of specialties including gender affirming and LGBTQ care, allergy/immunology, adolescent health, gynecology, and care to individuals with complex needs. Our unique care model ensures no young person is ever turned away for inability to pay for their care.

Job Summary The Corner Health Center seeks a Therapist. The person in this role will be responsible for providing confidential mental health counseling services to participants of The Corner Health Center (TCHC) programs. This is a non-exempt, full-time position with a competitive salary. This person will report directly to the Behavioral Health Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Provides individual therapy to youth, young adults, and their families, with the expectation of conducting 12 or more sessions per week.
• Conducts psycho-social evaluations, develops treatments plans, graduations plans, and safety plans as needed.
• Under supervision from the Behavioral Health Manager, coordinate and provide mental health services inside of a school setting. Attends supervision, in accordance with state licensure and program requirements (e.g. weekly for LLMSW).
• Contributes to the overall health and well-being of the organization and clients by referring client to other Corner Health Services as appropriate.
• Maintains consistent and thorough documentation, completing charts within 48 hours of scheduled appointment times, and facilitates timely and accurate billing.
• Functions as a vital member of the Social Work team.
• Limited supervisory responsibilities.
• Participates in clinic meetings relevant to job duties.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• State license (Michigan) LMSW or LLMSW
• 2 to 5 years clinical experience working with adolescents and young adults, preferably diverse and underserved populations
• Minimum 1 year experience working with families
• Trauma-informed practice, with experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, and at least one other evidence-based practice
• Strong computer skills, including experience working with an Electronic Health Record
• Commitment to the agency’s mission and DEI initiatives.
• Provide services in accordance with the MDHHS CAHC Minimum Program Requirements and grant guidelines

Preferred Skills

• Experience/service in a community health/ medical setting
• Knowledge of minor consent laws and billing experience

Location & Salary

Sturgis, MI

Salary Range $52,000 - $67,000 Depending on Experience and License
