Primary Responsibilities Assist in determining the suitability of donors Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions Monitor donor and equipment to ensure health of donors and quality of product Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment We're Grifols, a global healthcare company that produces essential plasma‑derived medicines for patients and provides hospitals and healthcare professionals with the tools, information and services they need to deliver expert medical care. Occupational Demands Work is performed in a plasma center. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms. Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment. Exposure to extreme cold below 32 °F while working in a plasma freezer. Mandatory wearing of personal protective equipment such as protective eyewear, garments, gloves and cold‑gear. Work is performed standing for 6 to 8 hours per day. Bending and twisting of the neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day. Frequent hand movements requiring precise coordinated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequent foot movement; may infrequently squat, crouch or sit on one’s heels. May walk up to 6–8 hours per day. Light lifting of up to 15 lb with a maximum lift of 50 lb. May reach below shoulder height. Mandatory hearing acuity. Mandatory color perception discrimination. Vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and in the other eye to 20/100. Must comprehend and follow instructions to complete assigned tasks and must perform within the guidance of oral or written instructions.
