Companion Caregiver (No Certification Required) – Bergen, Morris, Passaic & Somerset Counties, NJMake a Difference—One Conversation at a Time

The Senior Company is looking for compassionate, dependable Companion Caregivers to provide friendship and everyday support to seniors throughout Bergen, Morris, Passaic, and Somerset Counties . No certification or caregiving license is required —just a caring heart and a desire to make a difference.

Whether you enjoy chatting over a cup of coffee, playing games, taking walks, preparing a simple meal, or simply being a friendly face, our clients would love to meet you!

What You'll Do

Our companion clients receive care in private homes, assisted living communities, rehabilitation facilities, and hospitals throughout Bergen, Morris, Passaic, and Somerset Counties .

As a Companion Caregiver, you may:

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Accompany clients on walks or outings
• Play cards, games, or participate in hobbies
• Prepare simple meals and snacks
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments (when applicable)
• Offer encouragement, emotional support, and a friendly presence

Whether you enjoy relaxing and talking with seniors or staying active by walking and chatting, we'll match you with clients that fit your personality, interests, availability, and preferred travel area.

Pay

• Part-Time Shifts (5 hours or less): Starting at $20/hour
• Full-Time Shifts (8-, 10-, & 12-hour shifts): $15–$20/hour

Flexible Scheduling

We offer a variety of schedules to fit your lifestyle!

4-Hour Shifts (Monday–Friday)

• 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

8-Hour Shifts (Monday–Friday)

• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

10-Hour Shifts

• 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

12-Hour Shifts

• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Overnight Shifts (Sunday–Wednesday or Thursday–Saturday)

• 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Whether you're looking for a few hours each week, full-time hours, daytime shifts, evenings, or overnight work, we'll help match you with a schedule that fits your availability.

✅ Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable, and patient
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass a background check
• Previous caregiving, hospitality, customer service, or companion experience is a plus—but not required
