Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for a Level One Operating Room (CVOR) position, evening shift 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m. Schedule Full time, evening shift 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m. Unit Summary We care for very critical patients in a fast‑paced environment. The OR nurse works closely with anesthesia and surgeons to ensure safe passage through the intraoperative phase. The unit includes 33 operating rooms and 2 lithotomy suites, supporting service lines such as cardiac, vascular, neuro, gynecology, urology, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery, trauma, robotics, and oral surgery. Job Summary The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates patient care delivery according to the BSWH nursing professional practice model. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops and implements individualized plans of care, and evaluates outcomes. The RN promotes safe passage for patients, delegating interventions per the Texas Nursing Practice Act and staff competencies. Essential Functions Of The Role Clinical Judgment: Conduct accurate assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing plans of care.
