Assistant Accounting Manager

Assistant Accounting Manager
Responsibilities of this Assistant Accounting Manager role include:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll-related postings, and general ledger activity
- Assist in the development and preparation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines
- Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and reliability of financial data
- Provide leadership, guidance, and development support to members of the accounting team
- Support the establishment and maintenance of internal controls in alignment with company policies and accounting standards
- Collaborate on audit processes by compiling required documentation and addressing auditor inquiries
- Assist with tax compliance activities and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements
- Analyze existing accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Participate in system upgrades, implementations, and process improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of accounting procedures and workflows
- Partner cross-functionally with teams such as operations, sales, and engineering to ensure financial data integrity
- Deliver insights and analysis to support budgeting, cost control, and strategic decision-making
Minimum requirements include:
- Bachelors in Accounting
- 3-5 years of accounting experience with familiarity with GAAP
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
