Solid Tumor Oncologist/Hematologist – Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of HSCP or Clinical X – Division Department: IM Hematology/Oncology Location: Sacramento, CA, USA Job Type: Faculty (full‑time) Posting Date: June 3, 2026 Salary: $250,000 - $299,999 Degree Requirements: PhD and/or MD Faculty will be part of the Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank. Clinical X faculty are expected to engage in direct clinical care, teaching, research, and public service. HSCP faculty are expected to engage in teaching, clinical care, scholarly or creative activities, and public service. Responsibilities: Direct inpatient and outpatient clinical care of patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases, with a focus on breast cancer. Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Participation in university public service activities. Variable engagement in scholarly activity, including clinical and translational research, as appropriate to faculty series. Qualifications: Completed fellowship in medical oncology (board‑certified or eligible at time of appointment). Hematology fellowship desirable but not required. Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of California. Experience caring for Hematology/Oncology patients and teaching medical trainees. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a large team. Ability to participate in scholarly work and/or clinical and translational research. For the Clinical X series: record of publication in peer‑reviewed journals. Evidence of success in obtaining extramural funding and/or administering clinical trials is highly desirable. The division comprises 38 clinical and research faculty, five associate physicians, 13 fellows, and numerous additional staff.
