Trauma Surgeon

Marshfield Medical Center (MMC) in Marshfield, Wisconsin is seeking a 1.0 FTE BC/BE fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon to join an established 7-member Trauma Surgery section. The selected provider will join an acute care trauma service model covering acute care surgery, critical care, and trauma. MMC is a Level II Trauma Center providing robust clinical support and academic opportunities. Practice Info Marshfield Medical Center (MMC) in Marshfield, Wisconsin Established 7-member Trauma Surgery section Acute care trauma service model covering all aspects of acute care surgery, critical care and trauma Level II Trauma Center Trauma attending is in house 24/7 ICU and trauma services are each supported with allied health providers Shift & Schedule 1.0 FTE 4-5-night shifts per month Responsibilities Staff the SICU as a trauma surgeon/surgical intensivist or critical care intensivist during the day Staff the Acute Care Surgical Service during the day Provide dedicated care to trauma patients on the floor and to trauma activations during the day Cover SICU, Acute Care Surgical Service, and Trauma at night Work 4-5 night shifts per month Supervise surgical residents on the acute care surgical service Participate in trauma research Involve in medical education Compensation Annual compensation of $605,000 if you complete required number of shifts for 1.0 FTE $100,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years (this will be subject to a contractual agreement specifying all details) Benefits Health, dental and vision insurance 401K plan Short-term and long-term disability Life insurance CME allowance Allowed time away Malpractice insurance and tail coverage Relocation allowance May qualify for additional state and/or federal education loan forgiveness programs Qualifications 1.0 FTE BC/BE fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon Completed a Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Fellowship Board certified/board eligible for surgical critical care through the American Board of Surgery Interest in participating in trauma research is required H1B or J1 visas accepted
